Father’s Day in Heidelberg

We wish all Heidelberg’s daddies a happy Father’s Day!

In Germany the Father’s Day has been an official holiday since 1936. Actually it is the Christian holiday “Ascension Day”, in which they celebrate 40 days after Easter the return of the son (Jesus) to his Father (God).

Nowadays families celebrate this holiday together. If you still do not know how you could spend this day then you should stop in the Königstuhl. The Heidelberg Königstuhl is the perfect goal for family getaways. Here fun for young and old is guaranteed. At the Königstuhl you will find the falconry “Tinnunculus“, the fairy-tale paradise Königstuhl, the nature trail “Via Naturae“ and much more. This place is accessible by car and by the Heidelberg Mountain Railway.

Now it’s up to you to choose how to organize the day. In all cases we wish you to have a nice day with your families!
